REFERRALS - Are NOT required unless you want to claim a partial rebate from Medicare or your private health fund (if applicable). If you would like to claim a rebate, visit your treating doctor and obtain a mental health plan and referral to Dean Harrison (Principal Counselling Psychologist). Medicare rebates are now available for telephone and telehealth services.
CONFIDENTIALITY - Registered psychologists are bound to adhere to the highest ethical standards. In providing psychological services to you, Information will be collected and recorded that is relevant to your current situation.
FEES - You can receive a rebate from Medicare on ten to twenty sessions if your treating doctor refers you under a mental health care plan. Fees are based on a standard hourly rate (50 minute hour). Fees are higher for services funded by third parties relating to insurance, organisational and medico-legal work. Fees must be paid on the day of the appointment.
There are no fees and charges for letters to your treating doctor (required by Medicare). Other requests for letters and reports may attract fees and charges.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Please ensure you give at least 48 hours’ notice so we are able to offer the appointment to another client.
