FAQs About Seeing a Psychologist

What happens in my first session?

Your psychologist will explore your needs and goals, explain confidentiality, and outline a plan tailored to you.

Do I need a GP referral?

No referral is needed. A Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP is required if you wish to claim Medicare rebates.

How long are sessions and how many will I need?

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. The number of sessions varies based on your goals and progress.

Are telehealth sessions available?

Yes. We offer secure, confidential telehealth across NSW.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, except in limited legal or safety circumstances.
