Dean provides advanced psychological assessment, therapy and counselling for adolescents, individuals, couples and families. He assists develop improved insight, emotional awareness and better communication. Clients learn and apply advanced psychological strategies to resolve difficulties, enhance the quality of relationships and optimise lives.

  • Registered since 1993.

  • Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology​.

  • Fellow - Australian Psychological Society College of Counselling Psychologists​.

  • Endorsed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Counselling Psychologist reflecting advanced skills and training in assessment and therapeutic interventions​.

  • Trained supervisor of psychologists studying the 4+2 pathway and postgraduate students.

  • Dean has supervised Counselling, Forensic and Organisational Masters students from the University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and University of Western Sydney.

Dean has over 25 years experience as a Counselling Psychologist working in senior clinical leadership roles in various government agencies, private practice and corporate sectors, including:

  • Developed the first Australian curriculum in Brain Injury Psychiatry [The icare Brain Injury Psychiatry Program (iBIPP) Fellowship Core Curriculum 2019]

  • Assistant Director, Federal Department of Human Services serving on the National Team of Psychologists dealing with high profile Forensic Issues. Wrote the national Integrative Assessment Modules for DHS,

  • Counselling Psychologist, NSW Department of Community Service (Governance) providing psychological support for employees and foster parents in relation to child deaths and allegations against employees. Also developed the first counselling support program for Foster Carers in NSW and trained a network of psychologists,

  • Senior Counselling Psychologist, NSW Police with statewide responsibility for assessment and counselling services for recruitment, fitness for duty, psychological reviews and trauma management for high risk and special services,

  • Director Allied Health, Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney, NSW Health. Developed the first formal case management model for Brain Injury in Australia (Funded by MAA),

  • Albion Street Sexual Health Clinic,

  • Counselling Psychologists, Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) providing psychological support for students and staff,

  • Psychologists in a private paediatric neurology clinic assessing and treating children with learning and behavioural difficulties,

  • Vocational Services Coordinator in the disability sector deinstitutionalising clients into supported employment options,

  • Developed a program for people with chronic schizophrenia to optimise their mental health and quality of life.​
