Do I need a referral?

No. You can self-refer for NDIS-funded psychology. Medicare pathways may require a GP referral.

Can I use NDIS funding for psychology sessions?

Yes. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can use NDIS funds for therapy and assessment.

How long does an assessment take?

It depends on the assessment type. Most include an intake, one or more testing sessions, scoring, a feedback session, and a written report.

Are Medicare rebates available?

Will I receive a report?

Yes. All comprehensive assessments include a written report with findings and recommendations.

Can parts of the assessment be completed via telehealth?

Yes, history-taking and feedback can be done via telehealth. Many standardised tests must be conducted in person.
